Earn Recycling Credits by Donating Solar Panels
This program allows solar asset owners, developers, IPPs, and manufacturers to:
- Reduce disposal costs by earning credits for future recycling
- Ensure responsible solar panel management with certified recycling solutions
- Support global solar energy projects through Renewables.org
Every 10 panels donated = 1 recycling credit, which can be applied toward future panel recycling services, making sustainability a smart business move and an impactful environmental choice.

How it Works
1. Donate Old Solar Panels
Businesses can donate surplus or decommissioned solar panels in good working condition through We Recycle Solar, provided the panels meet minimum eligibility requirements, which will be determined in collaboration with Renewables.org. By doing so, businesses can also benefit from maximum tax savings through this certified 501(c)(3) organization.
2. Earn Recycling Credits
For every 10 solar panels donated, companies earn one recycling credit, which can be redeemed for future panel recycling services, offering a tangible reward for their contributions. These credits provide businesses with a cost-effective way to offset disposal expenses and demonstrate their commitment to supporting sustainable recycling initiatives.
3. Make a Global Impact
